I am a fourth-generation redhead whose true passion is for story.
Everyone has a story, and I want to hear, facilitate, and participate in as many as I can. Whether it’s photographing a wedding day, serving during childbirth, designing a brand logo, laughing and crying with friends, or just reading a fantastic book, I find stories to be the way I best interact with the world.
As for slightly more boring and certainly less philosophical stuff about me, I hold a degree in English (there’s that story stuff again) from Wheaton College in Illinois and am a certified birth doula through DONA International. After working in private and public high schools for several years in Illinois and western New York, I became an in-home childcare provider while doing wedding and portrait photography in my spare time. I spent nine years in Maryland running marketing and information technology for a small independent school and now I’m looking for my next full-time adventure! When I’m not working for my clients, I am helping out at my husband’s wine cafe, researching my good friend Long COVID, counting down to the next Nowhere Else Festival, wishing for a new pair of Converse, reading an amazing book or five, watching Doctor Who with my family, singing the third harmony part, discovering how my AuDHD brain works, making lists, and generally pursuing the day when all will be well.
I absolutely love helping clients discover how to best visually or textually represent their story.
