I am a fourth-generation redhead whose true passion is for story.
Everyone has a story, and I want to hear, facilitate, and participate in as many as I can. Whether it’s photographing a wedding day, serving during childbirth, designing a brand logo, laughing and crying with friends, or just reading a fantastic book, I find stories to be the way I best interact with the world.
As for slightly more boring and certainly less philosophical stuff about me, I hold a degree in English (there’s that story stuff again) from Wheaton College in Illinois and am a certified birth doula through DONA International. After working in private and public high schools for several years, I became an in-home childcare provider while doing wedding and portrait photography in my spare time. Over the years I’ve done freelance editing for authors and bloggers as well. When I’m not working for my clients or managing the independent school office where I spend my weekdays, I am corralling my wild and crazy kiddo, Eli, who is usually inventing something to make the world a better (or at least more entertaining) place.
I absolutely love helping clients discover how to best visually or textually represent their story.
